The challenge of this project was to make a 120 year old church handicap accessible while not disturbing the character or structural integrity of the building. This was accomplished by designing a ramp that sloped down to a door accessing the basement so that it would not be very visible. Special care was taken to ensure this addition matched the character of the existing church. This new entrance also included cascading steps, a shrine, and a sitting area. A lift was installed in rear of the church for handicap accessibility to the Nave.
